Cranberry Lake Club

Reminder to all members including recreational, any members taking guests riding  ATV's or UTV's  on Club lands, must pay "guest pass" fees to the Secretary of the Club. It has been brought to the attention of the directors, that many members have been seen taking their friends riding, and NOT paying the guest pass fees.

Just passing this response fwd as an FYI for Club Members seeking to do the same.

Subject: Cranberry Camp

Jim - at this time the landowner is not going to allow any new camps.   While the conservation easement does allow for a few additional camps to be built they have decided to hold off on any new camps for now.

Just a reminder to all members that we have a beautiful picnic area and pavilion that can be used anytime. An outhouse is also on site.

Picnic tables are also  on site.

A reminder to all members: The "berms" (dirt piles installed by the DEC) are NOT to be disturbed, moved or climbed over by ATV's and UTV's..Any "breach" that is discovered will reflect badly on the membership and endanger our lease. Please do NOT alter these in any way.

Notice to all members:

The Gates that lead down to the Iron bridge, and the Gate ON the Iron Bridge are to remain LOCKED after passing through. If these gates are not re-locked after use, the DEC will REMOVE the priveledge

of allowing members to use this corridor to get to the other side of the club. I have replaced the chains that were cut, and replaced the lock. If this happens again, we stand to lose that route as the DEC says it will CLOSE that road to the members,  as it is now considered "state land".

Secretary

Memo received  from forester Tom Gilman concerning Beaver permits.

Anyone wishing to get a copy of the permit please contact Secretary Clifford Gill @This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

BTW, the iron bridge area is now "state land" so beaver permits are VOID in that area. Do not Shoot animals in that section.

Cranberry Lake Club Members:

I always appreciate your help and the clubs help in controlling these critters.  So shoot at will!

The mud lock was taken off on the Buckhorn Road by Molpus.  Sounds like the main roads are ok now.  Feel free to let the club know to tread lightly but access is open now.  On the Windfall road – let DEC open it so it can stay closed longer.  Club members can go in but please have them lock gates as they pass thru.

The gates by the river corridor should stay closed and locked.  Members can pass thru but to keep the public from driving thru they should stay locked.  Pain in the butt, but we do have access and want to keep it that way for the membership.

Thanks for your help.

Tom
